Oceanographic data submission

Guidance for submitting oceanographic data
​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The oceanographic database accepts data from different observation types - high resolution CTD, discrete water samples, thermosalinograph/ferry box, moorings and XBT data for a number of parameters:

​Temperature, Salinity, Oxygen, total Phosphorus,  Phosphate, total Nitrogen, Nitrate, Nitrite, Ammonium, Silicate,  Hydrogen Sulphide, pH, Alkalinity and Chlorophyll a
 
 
Data are required in the primary submission format:
ICES Oceanographic data submission format

​A completed Cruise Summary Report (CSR) for each cruise is recommended. 

The ICES Data and Information Group (DIG) has developed a set of
data type guidelines to assist those involved in the collection, processing, quality control and exchange of various types of physical oceanographic data.
