WKNEAMP was established to scope the work required to respond to the joint Norwegian – Russian request to evaluate possible harvest control rules for cod (Gadus morhua), haddock (Melanogrammus aeglefinus) and Barents Sea Capelin (Mallotus villosus) in ICES areas 1 and 2 (Barents Sea and Norwegian Sea).
The first workshop (WKNEAMP-1) took place in Murmansk, Russia in November 2015 and a second workshop (WKNEAMP-2) will take place in Kirkenes, Norway in January 2016. WKNEAMP-2 will take input from reviewers into account when concluding the work required to respond to the joint Russian-Norwegian request and evaluate possible harvest control rules.
